The Eagle RS-A's high-performance, all-season tread has an asymmetrical pattern to increase traction on wet and dry roads. The tread shoulder blocks and wider lateral grooves of the tire improve grip in turns, providing a good feel and steering response. 

The four grooves help channel water under the tread and reduce the risk of hydroplaning in wet weather.

Two steel belts are reinforced with nylon for durability and stability at higher speeds inside the Eagle RS-A tire.
