The special compound used in the tread design incorporates both silica and carbon black to provide the perfect combination of wet and dry grip, handling, comfort, tread life and fuel economy.
The P Zero's asymmetrical tread (PZ4) has an outer shoulder that differs depending on whether the tire is intended for use on a sports car or a luxury vehicle.
The outer shoulder of a sports car tire is geared towards dry handling, grip and lateral stability. In contrast, the outer shoulder of a luxury car tire is geared towards increased comfort, noise resistance and resistance to lateral hydroplaning.
