The ContiSportContact 5P from Continental is a high-performance summer tire designed to provide maximum grip on wet and dry roads. The ContiSportContact 5P is designed to provide precise handling, cornering stability and short braking distances in both wet and dry conditions. However, like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, snow or ice.

Technology for safety

The high-performance tread compound uses Continental's Black Chilli technology, its formula of racing-grade carbon black, combined with other resins to improve wet and dry traction. The advantage of this unique compound is that it heats up faster and increases the flexibility and stiffness of the tire to enhance cornering capabilities and optimal handling.

Circular grooves help water flow through the footprint to resist hydroplaning, while transverse block edges divert water from the tread blocks to improve wet traction.
